~The Washington Trip!~

Ooh my goodness! These last two weeks have FLOWN by. Weston and I left with mom LaNae on August 16th for Washington. Rob was able to get up there by the 22nd, and we made it home on September 1st. It was crazy and busy and AWESOME. So so much happened, and needless to say, there are a lot of pictures :)

On Sunday we went to church (that was quite the experience with a very tired and impatient little man) and just rested with the family. Monday and Tuesday I didn't take any pictures. We relaxed, ran some errands, and just adjusted to the new place.
On Wednesday we went to the pool that is basically right next to mom and dads house!

It took him a minute to adjust...
and made me go up the toy with him...

but he got over it pretty quick!

He's got such a hairy back!!!
On Thursday we met up with all of the Washington cousins and went to the Childrens Museum. Oh my goodness. If you are ever in the area and want to see your child think they are in heaven, this is the place to go. It was crazy with 8 kids under the age of 10, but we did pretty well I think :)

probably his favorite part...there were many tears when it was time to move on.

And his other favorite part. He found his calling in life. He loved the curtains and stage.
After the museum everyone came back to mom's for a weenie roast, and Twyla with her boys decided to spend the night.

On Friday the boys were out bright and early jumping on the tramp that Auntie Stacy slaved away on to get up and working for them :)

Weston is pretty sure Ben walks on water. If Ben does something, it must be cool.

We then went to the pool..

This is the battle wound that Weston got right after getting to the pool. He cried as he climbed the stairs and went down the slide, but he was NOT about to stop and let me look at it, he just kept playing as he cried.
Rob got into town at midnight that night, finally!!! On Saturday we decided to go to Mukilteo to enjoy the beach, ferry, ice cream, and Ivars.

They were such good buddies

That is the face that I missed for a full week!

On Sunday we went to church, and then headed down to Enumclaw to spend some time with the sisters down there :)
Weston was really needing daddy time, he could not get enough!

On Monday we headed to the Pointe Defiance Zoo with Twyla, Lanae, and their kids.

Minus Tyler, this was the kiddos :)

Rob had to take a work call, and Weston decided he needed to stand with dad instead of move on to see the animals. Yeah, he's a daddy's boy.

The whole crew, Minus Stacey who took the picture.
After the zoo we hit up Ivars (for the 2nd time) and headed back up to Snohomish. Tuesday was another pretty chill day, Rob played on the tramp with Weston, and we just relaxed. That evening mom and dad took us to Anthony's. BEST SEAFOOD EVER! (yes, I tried really hard to fulfill my seafood craving... now I just want it even more :/  )

Wednesday we got to go to the temple with Naomi for her first time. What an amazing experience, and I can check off another temple on my bucket list :)

Thursday Rob and dad went hiking for the day before we went back to the temple that evening. They had a blast and got some really cool pictures.

Friday we headed back to Enumclaw and hung out with the fam down there :) Before we left Weston decided to shower with us in mom and dad's awesome shower. He found the squeegees and was in heaven...

Saturday we went for a hike around Deep Lake. It was down pouring, which made it all the better!
Despite all the cousins that were around, Weston was glued to his daddy the whole time.

Fishing for leaves...BIG leaves

Daddy making it rain.
And then for Sunday we did church, went and said goodbye to Grandma Twyla, had a delicious dinner, and then headed home with Naomi! We get to keep her for about a week before she heads up to Rexburg for school. This trip was such a fun time with family and getting to do fun new things. It went by so fast, and yet Weston was really ready to be home and sleep in his own bed. We are so thankful to the family that gave us their time, shelter, food, and memories. It was unforgettable and we cannot wait until we get to come back and do it all over again!
