My Thankful List

Well, Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and it's got me thinking of all that I am grateful for. Where to start. I am thankful first and foremost for my heavenly father. He is so patient with me, and is always there when I need him.

I am thankful for my Robin. He is my other half. He is my sanity. My escape. My lover. My accomplice. My best friend. My companion. He is a daddy to our child, and a leader to this family.

I am thankful for my chunky monkey. Oh I did not know true joy until this bundle of energy came into our lives. He makes my day brighter every single day. He has opened my heart in a way I did not know was possible.

I am thankful for our families. Both sides have helped us in so many ways, and we always know that we can turn to any of them in a time of need. We depend on their love and guidance more then they know.

I am thankful for a warm home. Although I cannot guarantee it will always be clean, or organized, it is our haven. Our escape from the world. And it's ours.

I am thankful for our puppy. Although he is a pain sometimes, he makes this family whole. He loves our little boy, and would do anything for that little boy.

I am thankful for Rob's job. Although most of you do not know this, Rob started a new job on Moday. It was pretty sudden, and these past few weeks have been a whirlwind of craziness. However, the lord helped him find a job quickly and he is now working at NAPA auto parts. Hopefully this will help him with starting school in January, and treat him well.

His first day of work :)
I am thankful for school. I am FINALLY half way done, and Rob is just starting over again, school is bound to be in our lives for a few more years to come. I am thankful for the knowledge that we have the opportunity to learn from, and the paths that school leads us to.

I am thankful for doTERRA Essential Oils. They are slowly saving my husbands life. We still have a ways to go, but we are already so much closer then we were 3 months ago.

And last but definitely not least, I am thankful for all of our friends and neighbors. Everyone who is in our lives helps us in some way, and we can never tell you how much we appreciate all of you. Thank you for being there for us. Thank you for your patience with us. And thank you for all of the help and fun that you have given us throughout the years. You all make our lives brighter.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope you all get to enjoy your day of blessings with friends and family. Love you all!

Halloween repac

So this year for halloween I seriously failed. Our grand plans were to have Weston be Little John, Rob be Robin Hood, and me Maid Marian (get it? Awesome right?!) But I seriously slacked on getting costumes together, and all of a sudden Halloween was here and I had nothing put together. We decided we could all pull of mafia last minute, Weston has his Sunday suit that totally would have worked, and we had some friends that let us borrow a fedora. Here's the problem: Weston hates hats. Like a lot. So after trying all day on Tuesday to get him to keep the hat on, I gave up. We were going to go to boo at the zoo that night, and I was so frustrated that I was content to just have him not dress up at all. Well my dear husband came home and decided we would paint his face. The end product was AWESOME, and I'm so glad we did it, but man... putting face paint on a 1 year old is just NOT a good idea. Weston was not happy. However, we went to the zoo, and loved it! Weston got lots of candy (ok lets face it, he got like...2 pieces that he actually ate :) ) and it was really neat to go through the zoo and actually enjoy the lights, instead of running around trying to light them. On Halloween we had a lot of different almost plans, but with Rob not getting off until 6 we ended up just going to my parents house and watched a movie or two.
Next year I swear we will have the coolest costumes ever, I am already brainstorming so that I don't repeat this year. However, our wicked awesome skeleton baby was adorable this year, so it all worked out ok :)
