And Then He Was Two...

Seriously, how did this happen?? All of a sudden my baby is two years old! He is talking full sentences, running around like a mad man, naming colors, and counting. HOW?! I don't even know, but he is officially two. His birthday was on Thursday and I was feeling a bit flustered from just getting back from Washington, but I think it turned out ok.
On Wednesday night after Weston went to bed we decorated the living room with streamers and balloons for him to wake up to. He was just as excited as I had hoped...

We dropped Rob off at work, and headed to the zoo to meet Ayden, one of Weston's best friends. They went to the zoo last year on his birthday, so it was cute to see the difference that the year made.
He always loves the monkeys

These guys just swam back and forth on the window just for Weston's birthday... it was awesome.

One Year Ago

SO much bigger now...go figure ;)

After the zoo we went to lunch with Rob, and then it was time for Weston's nap while I made the cake and finished wrapping presents. Once Rob was home from work we had my family come over (Naomi has been staying with us, so she was already there :) ) and we started opening presents.

He knew it was a gun before we could even show him... and he loved eating the Marshmellows that are supposed to be the Ammo :)

The lego set was from Grandma and Grandpa Dickson. A HUGE box of Duplo's... he was in love

The Cake :)

Pretty sure he blew the candles out three times during the happy birthday song... he loved our reactions so he kept doing it

And after everyone left all he wanted to do was sit with dad and play with the gun... is anyone surprised? Anyone?

Overall I would say it was a huge success! We got him a bunch of books, and some crayons, and the other half of his present was going to the demotion derby at the fair! Let's just say... he loved that. A lot. And a blog is soon to follow with pics to prove it :)
