A Fun Afternoon

I was thinking yesterday how Rob and I haven't done nearly as many fun outdoorsy things this summer compared to last. A lot of this has to do with me being overheated 95% of the time no matter what we're doing, Rob's job is kind of intense, and we've had so much family stuff going on lately that we haven't really had time to just get out and kill an afternoon. So I texted my hubby and told him I would be picking him up from work that day, and when he walked out he was surprised to see the guns, and both puppies in the back of the car as well. We went to a little pond that's up in the hills, it's private property, but the guy that owns it knows Rob and told him that we could go play over there anytime :) So off we went to explore. The puppies LOVED it. They haven't been out in quite awhile and they loved getting to jump through the weeds, play on the dock... they even got pushed into the pond and somehow survived it :P We spent almost 3 hours out there just walking around, doing a little bit of shooting, and enjoying being outside. Even though I got worn out pretty quick, it was still so nice to be out watching my puppies and husband have so much fun :) It was DEFINITELY something that I needed, and Rob didn't seem to complain about it either :)

She got pushed in the pond :)

Isn't he so cute :)

<3

This is half of the pond...kinda perfect right?!

She poses for the camera every time...she's kinda a priss like that :)

They're so good!

This is very possibly my new favorite picture...gotta love my boys :)

So...Athena has hoppes. We tell people this and they nod and smile....

But no really, that girl can really jump! :)

Next time I think we're going to do a camp out. Roast hotdogs and sleep in the blazer...I'm kind of stoked!! :)

37 1/2 weeks and counting!

37 1/2 weeks :)

I now fully understand why people have been asking me if I’m ready for Weston to be here. I am like…BEYOND ready! I’m not sure how the switch happened, because for a long time I really was content to just wait patiently for him to make his arrival whenever he was ready…but now I’m kind of really losing patience. I think it started with the nursery getting completed. Now that it’s almost completely functional there doesn’t seem to be much that needs to get done before Weston gets here…so he can just be here now. Also, with the help of my sister-in-law Lanae I feel so beyond ready for this baby to come I think I’m just getting overexcited now :P  Another reason is one day I woke up and finally understood why everyone says the last month is so uncomfortable…it literally all hit in one day. My tummy seems massively larger than it did even just two weeks ago, my feet ALWAYS hurt, my back is killing, it hurts to stand, sit, lay…basically it just hurts everywhere all the time. Yep, pretty sure he can come ANYTIME now!!! Ok sorry I promise I am done complaining. Life really isn’t that bad, and Rob is BEYOND patient with me and my woe is life moods lately. I am loving this time that we get to spend together just us still, and am cherishing it before all the baby craziness begins. I am just very ready to have my body functional again, and have this baby be here already! I’m still planning on another 5 weeks though…if we go past that I very possibly might lose all hope and realize that he is never coming out. PLEASE EVERYONE PRAY HE COMES BEFORE THEN!!! :) Anyways... we shall keep you posted!! (and hopefully we’ll have something to post sooner rather than later :P)

Nursery!!!

The nursery mural is FINALLY COMPLETE!!! Let me just say, this past week has been the best week of summer so far for us! My amazing mother, sisters, and brother in law all came down for the week to party and dad in law even managed to make it down for a few days  : )  We got to spend time with the family, have a baby shower, go to Rexburg Rapids, eat at Big Juds, and float the river in Island Park (although Rob and I kind of had a mishap and ended up…literally floating IN the river while everyone drifted away in their rafts. It was quite the bonding experience, but luckily we both only suffered from many many bruises and scrapes, although I’m pretty sure I would have died if my husband wasn’t there telling me what to do and trying to keep me calm :) ). Twyla worked beyond hard on Weston’s nursery the entire week, and it is adorable! We could not be more pleased with it!!! Now that it’s done I am SO ready to get everything set up, organized, and then all that’s left is the baby to put in it! SO EXCITED!!! I'll be sure to post final pics once we get the furniture and decorations moved in :) Thank you again Twyla for all of your hard work, it turned out perfect!!

Hobbes is my favorite part of the whole room :) He is ADORABLE
