Thanksgiving Break

For Thanksgiving this year we got to spend a few days up in Island Park at my parents cabin with my family. Rob MAGICALLY got four whole days off of work, so Wednesday night we made the hour and a half drive to the cabin. Thursday we were busy cooking all day, but we still managed to have some fun :)

                                              (He's totally sucking in :P )

(we decided to dance for everyone, sorry it's so blurry, sadly it's the clearest one we got)
After our yummy snacking, dinner, dessert, and second dessert we all thought it wise to just take the rest of the night easy and try to move as little as possible, so we watched movies, played games, and just kind of chilled.

Friday we all headed home and I somehow managed to talk Rob into Christmas shopping!!!! It's a very good thing that Black Friday only comes around once a year, because we are way to good at shopping. But we did get some amazing presents and other fun stuff.
Overall I thought it was a really fun 'first Thanksgiving' for us. It was so nice for Rob to have a break from work for a few days, and I really enjoyed the time that I got him all to myself :)

Here We Go!!!

We have recently gotten internet at our house (due to my husbands persistent yet patient reminding) and it has been wonderful! Rob was looking through all of his brothers and sisters blogs getting 'all caught up' on everyone's lives the other day, and after over an hour of bouncing around on everyone's blogs he finally puts his computer down, looks at me with almost a pouting/puppy dog face and says, "Why don't we have a blog???" Haha it was just too cute... So here we go! We now have a blog!!!

Here's the lowdown on our life and all of it's adventures:

Larissa Janae Dickson: I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 8, 1990. My family moved around a bit until we finally planted in Idaho Falls where I graduated from Hillcrest High School. Excited to 'get out and experience the "real world" ' I ran off to school at BYU-Idaho where I ended up majoring in Business Management (which basically meant I had NO IDEA what I wanted to do, but I had to pick a major to appease the school and my daddy, so there ya go!). I'm 21, currently trying out the 'homemaker' job title, and LOVING it!

Robin Southworth Dickson: Rob was born in Provo, Utah on April 28, 1988. His family ended up settling down in Enumclaw, Washington where he grew up and graduated. He served his mission in the Salt Lake, Utah area and once he got off his mission he enrolled at BYU-I where he partied hard for 2 semesters. He ended moved in with his Aunt in Idaho Falls during his off track so he could work as an Operations-Manager at Maverick. After suffering through that job for almost a year he hit a lucky spell and got hired up at the wind farms for Invenergy, and he LOVES it. What guy wouldn't love climbing ladders for a living right?!

Our Story: Rob and I met at...wait for it...  Harry Potter The Deathly Hallows Part 1 midnight premier! Epic right?! I was super stoked to go, he...showed up because he had nothing better to do. Turns out his cousin who he was living with at the time was one of my friends from high school and we all ended up hanging out that night. Less than 1 month later we were dating, less than 2 months after that we were engaged, and less than 3 months after that we were finally married in Idaho Falls temple.  Now we're living in Idaho Falls just a block away from the temple... And everything else is history!!!

Bors Dickson: Once Rob and I were engaged, we decided that we needed to make our family a little bit bigger, so we bought a puppy! (mainly due to my begging and begging and BEGGING to get a dog) Bors was born in March 2010, is 3/4 lab and 1/4 black and tan coon hound. He's pretty much the cutest dang dog in the entire world. Even though Rob will swear that Bors is my dog, he's definitely a daddy's boy and doesn't have much to do with me unless I have treats for him :)  Despite his barking, jumping, drooling, and licking... we really do love him (even though one of us is complaining about him 95% of the time :)  ).

And that's about it! For right now it's just me and my boys and we are all LOVING life and trying to enjoy it to it's fullest!
