Baseball Games, and Airplane Shows = Happy and Exhausted Little Boys

It seems like fathers day weekend is always crazy for us, but we kind of like it that way :) This year the weekend was packed. We had Rob's little brother and wife with us for the weekend, we went to the Chukars opening baseball game Friday night, to wake up early on Saturday and head to the Airshow in Rexburg. The boys loved it all! And were grouchy for days afterwards because of all the stimulation, but it was so worth it!

The baseball game was a little rough. Since bedtime is usually around 7, and the game didn't start until 7:15, it made for some very tired boys. But Weston did get really into the game for a bit, and Colton loved getting to walk around with daddy. Because it was the first game of the season, after it ended (we won BTW) they did fireworks. Weston thought it was amazing and magical... Colton whimpered and covered his ears the whole time.. but I'm calling the overall experience a success ;)

The Airshow was in Rexburg the next day. We got there late, but luckily had people saving us seats, so we only missed the first half hour or so of the show. Colton was enthralled by the airplanes, and really sat still most of the time watching them... unless he could convince my dad to walk around with him :) Weston was loving having cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends around, so he was running all of the place the entire time. I don't think we got a single good picture of him... but he was there ;) Rob brought the camera to do his photography homework while we were there, so he got some AMAZING pictures of the airplanes. We are going to get some of them printed as posters for the boys bedroom. They are going to love it!

Sunday morning I woke up to a text from my dad saying that my grandma had passed away. It seems unfair that just 5 months after losing my grandpa, I had to lose my grandma too. However, it is such a relief knowing that they are together again. Grandpa got the coolest Fathers Day present ever, the love of his life at his side again. Go figure, we took the day pretty easy, went to church, let the boys recoup from the crazy week, and absorbed the news. Pictures soon to come of her funeral.

On a random side note, when we went to pick up our goats (yes, we have goats now) the family that we got them from were SO NICE. They had a pony and said the boys could not leave without riding him. Because it was past bedtime (do bedtimes even exist in the summer time?!) Weston was pretty scared and not feeling too adventurous, but he still tried it and talked about it the next day, so I think he liked it ;) Colton thought it was the coolest thing ever!
