Fish and Bears

Fishing time is back!!! Man I have missed it. Although we are having seriously bad luck this year catching a fish worth keeping, it has been the funnest year yet. Weston got a fishing pole for Christmas, so naturally he's been asking to go fishing ever since. He LOVES it. And I cannot believe how much Colton loves to be outside. He can be so grouchy and the second we go outside, all is better :) It has been so relaxing... well, as relaxing as it can be with a 2 year old and 5 month old :)

So on Saturday we decided to go to Bear World. Rob had never been, and we thought the boys would love it. It was perfect for us. In total we were only in the park for just over 2 hours, everyone still left happy, but we got to do a lot of fun things. Weston thought it was the coolest thing ever, and Colton was content to chill and look around the whole time :)

This is his "I don't want to smile for you mom" face

Weston LOVED petting the deer

and driving the choo choo train the pretty awesome :)

We let Weston pick a bear at the gift shop, and man was he happy :)

Over all it's been an amazing last month :) we have been going outside as often as possible, and have been LOVING the family time :)

Eggs, Hop, Bunny Rabbits, and Candy :)

So we have all been sickies over here. Well, all of us except Colton. I am seriously counting my blessings on that one. But Weston started throwing up one Monday, and it truly took him over a week to stop. I thought he was finally over it after about 4 days, and then he threw up again that night, and Rob and I woke up the next morning with it. It was horrible. Seriously horrible. I'm not sure how we all survived, but all I can say is avoid it if at all possible! That whole week basically consisted of Pedialite and movies. It was rough.

The only time we get cuddles like this is when he's sick... is it messed up of us to love it?

I was really lame and completely forgot about St. Patricks day until the day of. So.... we wore green. And that was about the extent of that. Oops

This last weekend being Easter/Conference was pretty chill. We watched conference at my parents house on Saturday, came home to colored eggs and watched Hop. Weston thought the eggs were the coolest things ever!

This is how gopga entertains the boys :)

So we turned Hop on and Weston was so excited... apparently the excitement wore him out :)

So Easter morning Weston woke up at like 6 because he needed to go to the bathroom... we took care of it and I told him to go back to bed, but I knew he had seen the eggs that were trailing from his room to the living room. So I got him back in bed, went back and laid down... and sure enough after a few minutes I hear his door open and shut. I quietly got up and found him opening the eggs in the hallway, stuffing his face with the jelly beans. Haha... and so we were up! Super early.

For Conference that day we just stayed home and I did REALLY good... until the afternoon session, and both the boys fell asleep. Then I was a goner :/ My amazing husband cleaned the house while we were all asleep, he's amazing :) And I've already listened to the talks I missed... but I feel a little less guilty about that :)
Today we broke out the bubble machine that the boys got to Easter. It didn't matter how cold it was outside... Weston LOVED it :)

And then just a few fun pictures, because why not right?!

Weston is turning into an artist. A tattoo artist.
And a pic of the baby... because he's just so darn cute!

Their first bath together.. success :)

Oh "Deer"

So apparently in most of the world this winter has been never ending, but for us we have been able to have some awesome spring weather for the last month! It has been absolutely wonderful. I can never believe how bad I get cabin fever until the first glimmer of spring hits and I just don't want to do ANYTHING other than be outside. It's kind of ridiculous.

Look at these boys :) Seriously I love them.

So our first springish outing was a drive in the mountains. We found a new area and the first time we drove through we saw over 40 deer! Weston saw them too, which he thought was the coolest thing ever.

Rob took off early one Saturday morning with a buddy to go try to hunt. Although they didn't have any luck, he saw a ton of prints and said the area was gorgeous.

We decided the next day to go on a hike, kind of to test the waters to see if we were ready to really attempt hikes with this crazy family :) I think it was amazing and was so much fun!

Colton loved his Moby Wrap and fell asleep within the first 10 minutes. It was awesome!

Weston did really good, but eventually he just sat down on the dirt and said "daddy, please carry me now." And so he got a shoulder ride for awhile.

And finally, so add to the awesome springness that is happening right now, today Weston went to his first Zoo Education class! He was one of the youngest, but he did SO well and was completely captivated. He loved everything and has talked about it all day :)
