Valentines Day, Guns, and a Blessing

This year for Valentines was the most fun by far! Rob was home which was awesome! We woke up and trying to decide what to do, we decided to load up and head shooting. It was gorgeous outside so we just couldn't pass it up. Weston and Bors loved finally being outside, and we found a good spot all by ourselves where we could let them just roam and explore. They were in heaven. Rob wasn't suffering too much either. I hung out in the car with Colton most the time, but it was still so nice to be outside watching my boys enjoy themselves :)

The boys got Rob a cute picture college for V Day. It was so much fun to put together, even though Weston HATED how sticky the lipstick was :)

I got Rob a teddy bear (original right?!) and a sweatshirt that he had been wanting.

And he made me this gorgeous sign

After the shooting we grabbed some pizza, which is our tradition and just hung out at home the rest of the night watching movies. It was perfect.

The next day was Colton's blessing day! Weston's was absolutely insane so this time we made it as simple as possible. Only immediate family knew, which still made for a decent crowd :)

It was a perfect weekend. On Monday we went shooting again with my family since we both got the day off of work and that night we took advantage of Danielle being home so we went and saw Jupiter Ascending. Pretty awesome movie and a very needed date night with my hubs :)

The Love of Brothers

Oh man. Rob and I are both back in school, both working, and both going mildly crazy. But we're hanging in there. It helps that our kids are ridiculously cute. Seriously though. The other night we were trying to make Colton happy and settled for bed. He finally chilled out when Rob laid him in the corner underneath the lamp. So what would any logical parents do at this point? Lay down next to him and fall asleep of course :) Gotta love the baby phase! Throw on top of that trying to potty train a 2 year old and you can say our life is never boring!

Daddy is definitely his favorite person to be with, Weston being a close second.

This potty training thing is no joke. He is usually awesome... but we are not 100% yet. Basically he never wears pants in the house anymore... ever.

I love this picture. My naked babies :)

My boys and their TV... it is kind of ridiculous. And don't ask me why Weston is sucking on his toe. I have no idea. Probably because he knows it drives me INSANE.

So a week or two ago I got to go get my hair cut. It took TWO HOURS. Best Haircut Ever. That was the first time Rob was left with both boys for a long period of time... so of course he took pics :)

 My boys :)

Oh you know, just going out on the town. (This boy though! Such a stud :) )

This is Colton's favorite place to sleep...and his favorite position.
This is what happens when we let Weston watch a movie after 3 pm. Again... no pants :)

I cannot get over how much these boys love each other! Colton LOVES to watch Weston play, and Weston LOVES to get Colton to laugh. It is seriously the cutest thing ever :)

The Newborn Exhaustion Phase

Ooh the newborn exhaustion phase... it is such a love hate relationship. I would love to sleep through the night, sleep in, and not feel exhausted all the time, and yet at the same time I know I will be there all too soon, and will be missing my midnight cuddles with this little man. Things have been going really well around here, we haven't been venturing out much yet, but are enjoying the time home. Besides that, Rob and I are both working, and both back in school. To say it's been crazy around here would be an understatement! But we are all surviving and enjoying!

So these two pictures were taken right after Christmas, so Colton was like 5 weeks old, with total neck control. Apparently our babies are determined to be independent as soon as possible :)

We are definitely taking advantage of the fact that he likes cuddling! I never got to cuddle Weston like this because he hated being held when he slept... this is heavenly :)

New Years Eve- Colton totally just chilled and hung out with us while we had our annual seafood night at my parents. Weston fell asleep at 6pm that night and woke up at like 10:30pm... oops. So he watched the ball drop and everything, then when we got home people were shooting fireworks off at the church right behind us, so we let him stay up for a few minutes and watch. He is obsessed with fireworks!

This is the latest gun that Rob painted. Definitely the most time consuming and intense...but it looks awesome and it was his first "real" paying customer!

This is how we cope after bath time :)

Ooh yeah, and this kid just woke up one day and decided to be potty trained. Seriously. He woke up and said he wanted to wear underwear (which up to this point he was terrified of and would freak out if I tried to put him in them). So we put the underwear on and that's the end of the story! Two weeks later and he's only had one fluke accident... I'd say it's been a success :)

Weston has also decided he doesn't need naps anymore. That means that he then falls asleep randomly on Rob when he is home. Won't do it with me, but if he can cuddle dad then all bets are off! This is one of those rare moments when both boys were asleep at the exact same time during the day... Rob was in bliss.

So that's our catch up for the past few weeks! I'm hoping we'll actually go do something fun soon... but who knows if that will happen with school and it being ridiculously freezing outside. :)
