A Cold Day on the Reservoir

So last Saturday was Rob and my anniversary. Five years!!! He got work off, but we really didn't have any plans. We were still full from his birthday dinner two days before, so eating out didn't sound appealing, and we still had homework that we needed to finish up, so it was sounding like it was going to be a pretty chill day.
My dad text Rob and asked if he and Weston wanted to go out on the Reservoir to see if his old boat would start (that thing hasn't been in water in like 8 years or something insane). Well because it was our anniversary I crashed their party and went too. Sorry, he doesn't get to have fun without me ;)
It was AWESOME. And cold. At first Weston was not a fan. Once we finally got the boat going (honestly it took like half an hour) and we started moving, Weston started bawling and asking to go back to the truck. It was cold, and fast, and it totally freaked him out. But once Grandpa let him drive for a bit, he changed his mind pretty quick and now is very mad at Grandpa because he wants to sale it... because it's Weston's favorite so now he has to keep it forever :)
This is when Weston still wasn't sure if he was going to enjoy the ride or not.

Somehow Rob got awesome cuddles through the whole thing... so lucky ;)

I love crashing the boy parties, they are always the funnest :)

Trying to stay out of the wind, it was really cold

These videos are of Weston driving. It was cracking me up, he is a pretty good driver... if you're trying to go in circles :D

After the boating adventure the boys took naps while we did homework. Then we decided to go to Cabelas and buy our anniversary presents! This is what my sexy man got.

We got these on a killer deal, accidentally :D Hopefully they'll last him awhile now so we can stop buying new camo every single year... hopefully.  I got a camping stove and grill attachment. SO EXCITED! Happy Anniversary to us!

Easter and Monster Trucks

This year Easter was fun, and chill. Robs brother and his wifey spent part of the weekend with us, so it was busy and always fun. We went shooting, and played in a cave. Weston is now OBSESSED with caves.

Saturday night after the left we dyed our Easter eggs, watched Hop (as per tradition) and just hung out. Easter morning was fun and relaxed. The boys ate themselves into a sugar coma, which made church a very short visit for us :/

The following weekend Rob and Weston got to go to the Monster Truck show in Pocatello. Colton and I sat it out... but they both had so much fun. Weston is obsessed with Monster Trucks, and knows the names of all the big ones (seriously. I don't know them... and Rob maybe knows a couple of them, but somehow Weston knows them all). Rob didn't tell Weston where they were going, so it was a pretty huge surprise when Weston figured it out. I got play-by-play pictures of the whole thing, which made me feel a little bit better about missing it.

Seriously, Weston's life has been made. I will never be able to top this. It's a really good thing he had an amazing time with his amazing daddy :)

St. Patricks Day, Jeeping, and Everyday Life

I always forget how crazy this time of the year is until we hit it. Both Rob and I in school, both working, with Robs working starting to get crazy... it's just a lot. And we all get cabin fever badly, so we are out and about as much as possible. Just makes for a very busy life, but that's not a bad thing ;) This last month has been a blur, but we've definitely had some fun.

First, Rob got a jeep. It was sort of spur the moment idea that we thought about for a few days, found the perfect jeep, and the rest was history! Although there's not a lot of room in there... we LOVE it! The boys think it is the coolest thing ever, and we have already been out adventuring. Rob and I only got seriously stuck once in the snow for a few hours... so that was fun ;)

For St. Patrick's Day, the boys and I made shirts for them. (which basically means I made shirts for them, and they wore them :P ) We made green pancakes for breakfast, took Rob green rice crispies to work, and had Corn Beef for dinner. Seriously, I love St Patty's day.

As for the rest of the month, things have just been nuts! We went out shed hunting (didn't find anything but a cool walking stick for Weston), Rob got seriously sick for a few days, and we've been playing with kitties that are now almost 6 weeks old!
Colton actually likes to cuddle occasionally... and it amazes us every time!

Made our first batch of Vanilla! So excited to try it out in a few more weeks!

Oh those faces!!!

Sunny. His fuzziness kills me a little bit ;)

That happened

This kid LOVES his scriptures :)

Sunny and Stormcloud

And this kid is incapable of going a single day without adding a bump or bruise to his face. He now has a bruise over that goose egg, and a matching goose egg on the other side of his forehead. Seriously.
